What a legend Bill was. So much a part of rugby for so much of our lives. Superb knowledge of the players and a brilliant turn of phrase. There’ll never be another like him. Funny how easy it is to forget last year’s results. I just recall summing up last year by saying that, in my lifetime, it was the first time I ever witnessed a team that was the weakest of the 4 home countries win the championship. Everything and every decision fell for Wales. Looking forward to Ireland putting them to the sword on Saturday!

Speaking of last year’s results, I am reminded that Scotland only won 2 games last year but these were away to England and away to France. Can they sort out their home form this year and mount a serious challenge ?
Yes Pat, Scotland are potentially a championship winning side. Capable of beating anyone on the day. One to watch I’d say. Interestingly, last year, they introduced something that the game had lost – the killer 60m spiral kick bouncing into touch. It is a rare skill these days. They sapped England’s juice last year kicking them 60 yards back repeatedly – will they repeat that rare skill as well as play all round great rugby again in this year’s #6N ?
Absolutely spine tingling from Wales supporters. But this year I am hoping for a resurrection of the Irish glory years!
