Indian cricket captain, Virat Kohli stepped up and helped English cricket captain Joe Root as he writhed in pain on the ground, today. He suffered cramp. Kohli stepped in to help stop the cramp before it damaged any muscles.
Root had scored a wonderful century on day 1 of the first Test between India and England. Despite the damage Root did to India, captain Kohli didn’t allow cramp to damage his opposite captain.
As India.com reported it: ‘Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli once again floored his millions of fans with a heart-touching gesture on day 1 of the first Test against England at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.’
Captains Friendly Chat During Test
Earlier, Joe Root asked Virat Kohli how his wife and new baby were doing? Kohli confirmed that mother and baby were doing good. Their friendly chat on the pitch during India vs England’s first Test match got Twitter talking.
Both captains are inspiring a new generation with their respect, friendship and sportsmanship amidst the white heat of intensely competitive Test cricket.

Lastly my favourite cricket story is when I got locked into Old Trafford & wandered aroung the 1865 ? suite ….trying to get out when I stumbled across this amazing photo that took up a whole wall – a photo of a young Australian, Shane Warne (& his team congratulating him) after delivering the ball of the century taking out Mike Gatting – what amazed me was the reverence and respect that this photo is hosted on a wall in Old Trafford.
